• Candidate must be an Indian Citizen and permanent resident of Assam. Selected candidates will have to submit his/her PRC certificates. Candidates who fall under the categories of SC, ST, OBC/MOBC are not required to submit these certificates.

• Candidates must register his/her name with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.

• Candidates must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently.

Qualification & Age Limits for Assam Direct Recruitment 2023

• Home Department: Candidates should have passed HSLC from a recognized school or institution. In some posts, candidates should have passed Class XII from the stream of Science. Candidates should be not less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 as of 1st January 2023.

• Health & FW Department: Candidates should have passed HSLC from a recognized school or institution. In some posts, candidates should have passed Class XII from the stream of Science. Candidates should be not less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 as of 1st January 2023.

• Education Department: Candidates should have passed HSLC from a recognized school or institution. In some posts, candidates should have passed Class XII from the stream of Science. Candidates should be not less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 as of 1st January 2023.

• P & RD Department: Candidates should have passed HSLC from a recognized school or institution. In some posts, candidates should have passed Class XII from the stream of Science. Candidates should be not less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 as of 1st January 2023.

• Grade- 3: Candidates should have passed 8th  from a recognized school or Class 12th equivalent examination passed Candidates with more than the maximum qualification will not be eligible to apply for these vacancies. Candidates should be not less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 as of 1st January 2023.

• Grade- 4:Candidates should have passed HSLC from a recognized school or institution. In some posts, candidates should have passed Class XII from the stream of Science. Candidates should be not less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 as of 1st January 2023.

The following documents are the basic requirements for Assam Direct Recruitment 2023:

• Aadhar card: A scanned copy of your original Aadhar card.

• Skill, Employment, and Entrepreneurship Certificate: Scanned copy of Your Employment Exchange Certificate

• Education qualification certificate: Original scanned copy of all your education qualification certificates from HSLC to onwards (may be applicable for some posts from Class 8th).

• Age proof: Original scanned copy of valid age proof documents such as Aadhar card, 10th Admit card, Birth certificate, and Driving license.

• Category Certificate: Original scanned copy of your Caste Certificate or Minority Community Certificate (It is not applicable for General Caste).

• Passport size photograph: Scanned copy of your recent passport size photograph.

• Signature: Scanned copy of your Signature (white background).

• Driving license: If you are applying for a driver post. Then you must upload a valid driver's license.

• Other skills/ Experience certificate: If you have any skills/ experience certificate such as a Computer Certificate or any other experience certificate. Must upload a scanned copy.

Selection Process of Assam Direct Recruitment 2023

The selection process of the Assam direct recruitment consists mainly 2 stages:

• Written Examination
• Viva/Interview

Written Examination: The written exam is a Computer test of 100 multiple-choice questions. The exam time is 2 hours and there are no negative marks. The given 100 questions covered the following topics:

• General knowledge
• General Intelligence and reasoning
• Numerical Ability, and
• Language Ability

Viva/Interview: After the written examination selected candidates have to take an Oral/Viva test in front of the Interviewer.
